Ding ding. LFG!
Let’s dive in.
HEADLINE ROUNDUP
IN FORM OWNERS
When things are going right for you in racing, you feel invincible. It’s like a game of poker.
When the cards are coming, you feel like you can play any two and still come out as the winner, but when you are running bad, you’ll still find a way to get aces beat, even if your opponent rocks up with a suited seven and four.
For Mick and Janice Mariscotti, they must feel like they are in the former camp, and they’ve certainly hit their fair share of full houses recently.
COLTRANE has been a great servant for the owners, and he even landed a Listed race as an eight-year-old last month, but the horse they will be pinning their biggest hopes to is ZAVATERI, a potential Guineas horse for next season.
You can't underestimate Charlie Bishop and Eve Johnson Houghton! 🔥
Zavateri takes the Coral Vintage Stakes in a thriller! 🥇

This is for obvious reasons, and the next run of his juvenile campaign will determine his true Classic credentials. Anyway, the Mariscottis could have another nice one on their hands as ALLEGRESSE bolted up at 4/11 in the one-mile novice stakes at Kempton yesterday.
Impressive 👀
A comfortable success for Andrew Balding-trained Allegresse (Oasis Dream), who goes one better than on debut to win under @oismurphy 🚀

He absolutely bolted up; it was very impressive. He is an OASIS DREAM colt out of a half-sister to ELDAR ELDAROV and KINGSWOOD, so the pedigree is there, and yesterday, he showed the ability is there also.
🗣️ "Oisin couldn't pull him up!"
Mick Mariscotti reflects on a facile success for Allegresse @kemptonparkrace 🥇
The winning owner also discusses Vintage Stakes winner Zavateri, who has Group One aspirations this season 🟢⚪️

What kind of horse could he be? Who knows. We are not going to say he is another Classic contender for the owners, but he certainly looks smart, and he has some growing to go as well. On Racing TV, Mick Mariscotti said: “Oisin said he was still a bit babyish when he hit the front but he finished off well and he couldn’t pull him up, which tends to bode well.
“He looks, physically, like he will get a trip in time and he’s from a lovely family. I was surprised we could buy him at the price we got him for.”
