The count down is on. One whole week until the arguably the biggest flat race of the year for both boys and girls in writes history.

We think EZELIYA in the Oaks at 9/2 is worth considering. She’s trained by Dermot Weld and owned by the Aga Khan. By DUBAWI and out of EZIYRA, who was placed in the Irish Oaks, Yorkshire Oaks and Hong Kong Vase. This is the family of Gold Cup winners ESTIMATE and ENZELI, as well as Irish Oaks winner EDBADIYLA.

DUBAWI has managed to inject some speed into the family. EZELIYA won the Salsabil Stakes, but Dermot would have had Epsom on the radar at that time and she was likely 80% fit. She did beat PURPLE LILY who is 10/1 for the Guineas on Sunday though.

We have one week to cement the selections and trainers will be restless at the opportunity to cement themselves into record books.
