Gm Equinauts

Yesterday was just one of those days; everything clicked and the horses that were supposed to win did win - no weird results (well, apart from COLTRANE (but he does always throws in a stinker during a busy campaign)), just good old big punts going in.

The bet of the day was DANCING GEMINI. Roger was purring and we were betting:

Now, let’s dive in.

You’ve all heard of Viagra. The one time, pump and dump pill. Lasts what - 30 minutes? Rubbish.

For the first time ever, Cialis is available without prescription. And boy it’s an absolute game changer.

Approved for medical use only in 2003, the French call it ‘le weekend’ because basically this thing lasts in your system for 3 day.

Boner’s on demand, for 3 three days!

Perfect for a weekend away when you know you’re going to need a little help.

Try it through UK MEDS, use discount code EQUINTIES10 and thank us later.

P.S. None of this is medical advice but we’ve tried it…

HEADLINE ROUNDUP

REDEMPTION

Yesterday was redemption day for a couple at Donny yesterday.

First, BIG EVS drew a big ‘f you’ line under his last race and rocketed home in the Group 2 Flying Childers Stakes, a performance that booked his flight to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint.

The race was perfect. He broke like a bullet from a gun, travelled smoothly most of the way and then extended his stride when Hollie Doyle’s husband said go to bound clear of the field in effortless fashion.

It really was a wow moment for the 2022 flat season.

Further redemption came 35 minutes later for TRUESHAN in the Group 2 Doncaster Cup.

After a history of scratchings from big meetings, this was his first start for 135 days after a wind op and he left racing fans gobsmacked.

He just didn’t stop galloping.

He was so strong Hollie Doyle couldn’t hold on to him and when she let him go, he stormed to the front and never looked back. Okay, there might have been a few sub-par efforts in behind (Balding’s lot say COLTRANE needs a little freshen up) but it was seriously impressive.

It was also good to see. Poor old TRUESHAN has been collateral damage in the publics angst over Alan King’s late decision making (he often pulls his horses last minute leaving punters in the dark). It’s not TRUESHAN’s fault so hopefully everyone can just celebrate him for the top horse he is on his day.

Also, if there was ever a horse to heal the flat/jumps divide, then he is that horse:

The big talking point post-race was whether Hollie Doyle was masterful or lucky in the saddle. Here’s how we see it.

The experienced stayer was pulling her arms out for the majority of the contest before she gave him a few inches of rein, a trait he has shown throughout his career though not to this same level. Maybe his freshness and the help of a wind op accentuated this.

Hollie let him go, his leading distance peaked at three lengths when rounding the bend, he nearly went down to the fast-finishing SWEET WILLIAM, but a second wind helped him to win by just over a length.

There’s an argument to say that if Hollie doesn’t reward TRUESHAN and keeps him stuffed away, he potentially begins his run at the same time everyone else does, and starts to catch the leaders but the turn of foot from SWEET WILLIAM is just enough to repel a staying-on TRUESHAN.

At the end of the day, she made a race-winning move and delivered TRUESHAN to his first victory since last October, so fair play.

TEALS TANK

When you think about Guineas contenders for next year, HENRY LONGFELLOW, CITY OF TROY, and ROSALLION (runs today) might spring to mind, right? Well, now we have another horse to consider and his name is DANCING GEMINI.

The two-year-old by CAMELOT is a homebred of owners Fishdance Limited and is out of their mare LADY ADELAIDE, an AUSTRALIA mare who hit a peak rating of 82 during her racing career.

Backed in to 5’s from 10’s, DANCING GEMINI absolutely bolted up in the Flying Scotsman, a race Roger Teal won in 2017 with TIP TWO WIN. He is now a general 25/1 price for the 2000 Guineas next year after Teal said: “He’s in the Futurity here but we’ll play it by ear and see how he comes out of today. If all’s well and the owner is happy we might take a punt on it. If not, we’ll leave him for next year, maybe do a trial and go to the Guineas.

“We won this with Tip For Two and he could possibly be as good. He’s got a similar profile, he’s got speed, he’s got a turn of foot and he’s got a good cruising gear.

With not much else to go to war with as both DAVE and OXTED have been plagued with injury, it’s great to see Roger back with a serious weapon.

Now, let’s look at today’s racing…
