AUGUSTE RODIN and LOS ANGELES, the last two winners of the Irish Derby, are set to meet in the Irish Champion Stakes and Ryan Moore will ride the former.

LOS ANGELES is coming into the race in good form having won the main event at the Curragh before he won the Great Voltigeur at York.

As for AUGUSTE RODIN, he won the Prince Of Wales’s impressively - though ZARAKEM, the second, was well-beat in the Juddmonte International - but he has since underperformed in the King George.

So, you have an improving three-year-old up against the big hype horse of last year who is annoyingly inconsistent. It should be a brilliant clash.

Coolmore is also set to send their other three-year-old ILLINOIS to the St Leger on the same day. He looks like a boat, so the Leger will suit him nicely!
