No, that isn’t Saturdays lottery numbers, they’re the stall numbers of the top ten horses home in the Buckingham Palace Stakes Handicap over seven furlongs on the straight course at Ascot yesterday.
Let’s get high, let’s dive in.
HEADLINE ROUNDUP
DRAW BIAS
15, 16, 31, 33, 23, 29, 19, 20, 17 are the stalls of the first 10 home in the Britannia Stakes over eight furlongs on the straight course.
So, based on this, one can imagine that high draws might have a bias today in some of the big handicaps, notably the Palace Of Holyrood House Stakes.
FUTURE TARGETS
We’ll save our full review of Ascot for next week, but we want to highlight a few bits of future news that came out of the royal meeting yesterday.
🇫🇷 Karl Burke on Norfolk Stakes winner Shareholder:
"I'd see no problem with stepping him up to six furlongs, maybe something like the Prix Morny.
"He could be a Commonwealth Cup type for next year.
"I'd be surprised if he is a Guineas horse."

Firstly, having drifted in the market all day, SHAREHOLDER took home the Norfolk Stakes for Wathnan and Karl Burke, and Burke believes he could be one for the Prix Morny.
Also, we could have another Royal Ascot winner off to Hong Kong as Ed Bethell briefly spoke about MICKLEY, his Britannia Stakes winner, in that regard.
He has a Hong Kong owner anyway with Siu Pak-kwan (think WAIPIRO), so he could be an interesting one to follow.
