RANGER THUNDERBOLTD 7/1, GHOSTWRITER 4/1, PORTA FORTUNA 7/1, VANDEEK 7/4, TRUESHAN 5/4, ROSALLION 6/1, KELINA 28/1.
They’re the winners this newsletter has had risk on since Thursday, as well as multiple placing. An incredible weekend’s punting the French stuff, it was nice to be able to really reward those who support this newsletter.
We should have a lot more for you this week too. Keep opening this newsletter.
Let’s dive in.
You’ve all heard of Viagra. The one time, pump and dump pill. Lasts what - 30 minutes? Rubbish.
For the first time ever, Cialis is available without prescription. And boy it’s an absolute game changer.
Approved for medical use only in 2003, the French call it ‘le weekend’ because basically this thing lasts in your system for 3 day.
Boner’s on demand, for 3 three days! Perfect for a weekend away when you know you’re going to need a little help.
Try it through UK MEDS, use discount code EQUINTIES10 and thank us later.
p.s none of this is medical advice but we’ve tried it…
ARC HIGHLIGHTS
We all know we saw something great this weekend. A measly 75,000k yearling completing the Prix du Jockey Club / Arc double to follow in the foot steps of DALAKHANI, MONTJEU, PEINTRE CELEBRE, HELISSIO and SUAVE DANCER.
But what about the other stories?
WESTOVER AND ONESTO
All the headlines will be about ACE IMPACT and rightly so, however, the two old boys WESTOVER and ONESTO, by FRANKEL have been marvellous racehorses and let’s face it, giving 3kgs to a younger buck will make you slower. Both will be Breeders Cup bound.
Let’s take a minute to appreciate Westover:
THIS YEAR:
- Gr1 Sheema Classic 🥈
- Gr1 Coronation Cup 🥈
- Gr1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud 🥇
- Gr1 King George VI 🥈
- Gr1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe 🥈Superb horse.

YOUNG GUNS
Darley’s BLUE POINT and Coolmore’s JUSTIFY both sired 2yo Gr1 winners at Longchamp. ROSALLION won a hot Listed race at Ascot, with the likes of DANCING GEMINI, SUNWAY, AL MUSMAK and ALYANAABI in behind. A disappointing third in the Champagne Stakes behind IBERIAN, he made amends in the Lagadere and puts himself firmly in the Guineas picture next year.
OPERA SINGER is JUSTIFY’s first European Gr1 winner and she follows the family tradition of winning at the highest level as a juvenile, her siblings are Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf winner HIT A BOMB and Cheveley Park winner BRAVE ANNA. JUSTIFY now has the favourite for the 1000 and 2000 Guineas next year.
Taking performance 😍

KILDARAGH STUD
The Irish are pretty good at Rugby and also incredible horseman. Kildaragh Stud, located in Kildare pinhooked the Middle Park winner VANDEEK for 42,000gns as a yearling into 625,000gns breezer, by HAVANA GREY he landed the Gr1 Prix Morny Middle Park double. The family run stud also bred SEA SILK ROAD, a daughter of SEA THE STARS who won the Gr1 Prix de Royallieu. Initially sold as a yearling to her current owners Sunderland Holdings for 190,000gns, she makes for timely update for her full sister to go through the Tattersalls sales ring today, Lot 5.
PRINCESS
The gifted NIGHT OF THUNDER filly HIGHFIELD PRINCESS recorded her 4th top level win when she won the Gr1 Prix de l’Abbaye. A mighty tough filly, this year alone she was 2nd to BRADSELL in the Kings Stand and 3rd in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot. Beaten a length in the Nunthorpe and ran below her best at the Curragh. She goes out a champion.
FRANKEL
Grandsire of ACE IMPACT, sire of WESTOVER and ONESTO in the Arc. In addition, KELINA won the Gr1 Prix de La Foret for her hugely successful owner breeders Wertheimer & Frere. FRANKEL is now going stratospheric in his second career and all eyes will be on his 21 yearlings selling at Tattersalls in the next 3 days.

HEADLINE ROUNDUP
BATTLE OF THE SEXES
Flat fans could be treated to a classic match-up later this month as TAHIYRA and PADDINGTON are set to clash in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes on Champions Day.
Following a mid-season break, Dermot Weld’s star filly returned to her fine self in the Group 1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown last month and all roads lead to Ascot on October 21st.
FOUR Group 1 triumphs!

Weld said: “Gradually her work will be stepped up and the present plan is the QEII – I have to put in the proviso that the ground needs to be suitable. I don’t want it too heavy.”
This. Is. BIG.
PADDINGTON has 7lbs on TAHIYRA on official ratings but would have to concede three of them to the Aga Khan-owned filly. Both horses have looked nearly unstoppable this season and when they have lost – in the 1000 Guineas and Juddmonte International – they both had excuses making Champions Day an unmissable meeting.
AMBITIOUS TARGETS
Two performances stamped jumps racing as officially BACK yesterday.
At Newton Abbot, last season’s Imperial Cup winner, ICEO, bolted up on chase debut for the 14-time champion trainer Paul Nicholls, making it a case of ‘job done’ for the five-year-old as he produced some smart leaps throughout the two-mile contest. Nicholls believes the Grade 1 Henry VIII Novices’ Chase at Sandown on December 9th, won by JONBON last year, will be his ultimate target. We don’t think he’s that good though.
Over the Irish Sea, Gavin Cromwell’s REDSTONE is now a general 33/1-shot for the 2023 Grade 1 Supreme Novices’ Hurdle after he beat KING OF KINGSFIELD in the two-mile maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse.
The runner-up is a highly-touted Gigginstown-owned five-year-old who placed behind A DREAM TO SHARE in the Grade 1 bumper at Punchestown, so the form of yesterday’s race could be worth something.

And finally, just to whet the appetites of jumps fans even more, news came out yesterday that Fergal O’Brien could have a potential superstar in his stable with SHY LOVE, the half-brother to Willie Mullins’ Grade 1-winning BRANDY LOVE.
✅ Shy Love, a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Brandy Love, is in training with Fergal O'Brien.
‣ The 5YO finished third on his PtP debut at Borris House in March.
‣ He has been schooled and is a "very good" jumper.
‣ Will start in a bumper; has option to go hurdling after. twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

MIDDLE PARK DEWHURST DOUBLE
The Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket could still be on the agenda for Saturday’s Middle Park winner VANDEEK as connections revealed he has come out of the race “really well”.
The HAVANA GREY juvenile was awarded a Timeform figure of 119p, the same as what CITY OF TROY achieved during his Group 2 Superlative Stakes win and just one point below HENRY LONGFELLOW.
With this in mind, connections are tempted by the option of running him again this season as Chris Wall, racing manager for KHK Racing said: “Simon [Crisford] said you wouldn’t know he’s been to the races. He holds an entry in the Dewhurst and we’ve not declared an interest one way or another on that yet.
“The wellbeing of the horse is obviously paramount and I’m sure we’ll wait to see who looks like they are likely runners and who isn’t going to take part.”
VANDEEK is a general 6/1 for the Dewhurst and 10/1 for next year’s 2000 Guineas.
