Felt good to be tools down yesterday. A break from the action is good for you every now and then.

Break over.

The jumps returns in a big way today with four meetings across the UK and Ireland.

Oh and it’s Cheltenham tomorrow!

Let’s dive in.

Don’t forget: After giving away the Vegas trip last weekend, don’t miss our next prize - a £500 John Lewis gift voucher to help with your Christmas shopping.

HEADLINE ROUND UP

SALES RALLY

Simon Munir & Isaac Souede have decided to enter RELIEF RALLY, their Group 2 Lowther Stakes winner, into next month’s Tattersalls December Mare Sale.

The 2yo by KODIAC is being entered into the sale with a large reserve only to "test the water" of the market. Connections would be willing to sell the 1000 Guineas prospect at the right price though with Haggas’ caution she might be more a juvenile type held at the forefront of their mind. No one knows rocket 2yo’s will ‘train on’ as 3yo’s until they hit the track.

Bought for 58,000gns at the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale, RELIEF RALLY achieved more than £300,000 in prize-money thanks to her Super Sprint win and his Royal Ascot second, so she will have her admirers.

STILL AFTER THE BIG TROPHIES

Although he’s retired from the heady days of managing Manchester United (when they were good), Sir Alex Ferguson’s ambition to fill the trophy cabinet is still greater than ever as he is currently mixing it with Royalty in Bahrain to watch SPIRIT DANCER contest the Bahrain International Trophy (runs tomorrow).

The 6yo, trained by Richard Fahey, is jointly bred by the former Manchester United manager alongside Niall McLoughlin, and as such he is set to carry the famous white, red, and blue silks of Ferguson in Bahrain.

This valuable target comes after two handicap wins and an easy win in the Group 3 Strensall Stakes in August. On his chances, Fahey said: "We’ve had a great season with him but it’s a it’s more like a Group 1 than a Group 2 in the Middle East. I’m very happy with him, we’ll just see what happens."

WATCHING BRIEFS

After yesterdays day of rest, today sees the jumps back on our screens with plenty of action to get stuck into both over in Ireland and in the UK.

A few horses look like an interesting ones to watch, none more so than IT’S FOR ME in the 14.05 at Punchestown.

The 5yo won comfortably at Navan in January before his Champion Bumper fifth in March and slightly disappointment at Punchestown one month later, but he is clearly talented.

In the race before, Gordon Elliott is debuting a French import called PACINI in a 3yo hurdle who is an odds-on chance. He won easily on his only start in France before moving to Cullentra House. His unraced dam is closely related to the Group 1 winner ALBIGNA, so he is interesting on UK debut but be warned - French horses often take time to acclimatise after a big move and given fact he’s taking so much, will create value in others to take him on. Not a play for us though however we will be keeping a close eye on his as any sort of ‘easy’ win today will no doubt shake up the Triumph hurdle market.

Over in the UK, the action is at Sedgefield, Market Rasen and Taunton. One to note might be Nicholls’ TINKLERS HILL in the 15.00. Market and vibes strong for him and he’s by MILAN (sire of Hendo’s rocket EAST INDIA EXPRESS who bolted up last week).

But, in all honesty, we haven’t quite got the same level of horses on display today as Ireland does… at least until tomorrow when Cheltenham returns!

RISK ON

 14.00 BREEZE OF WIND

Worth a small play today to find out what all the money was for lto - he was well backed on chase debut but just failed when rallying late. Markedly stepped up in trip today, he could prove well handicapped? Yard not really firing, a bit speccy so only a small play. 6/4.

If 6/4 is too short for your liking (shouldn’t be if he wins), then double up with Nicholls’ in the 15.00 who could prove good leverage. Vibes good.

12.05 (TOMORROW) MARHABA YA SANAFI

Runs in tomorrow’s BAHRAIN INTERNATIONAL TROPHY. Small ew on this colt at a big price. He won the French Guineas and placed in the French Derby. Flopped and beaten too early in the Jaques Le Marois but his next run in the Prix Niel when fourth suggests it was a one off? It’s a bloody good renewal with dual Gr1 winner NATIONS PRIDE hot fave but at 14’s we’re happy to risk a small ew on French Guineas horse MARHABA YA SANAFI.
