That is all.
Now, let's dive tf in.
Headline roundup
Grand National hero retires
It was all things Grand National yesterday at the weights lunch (we’ll get onto that), but before even the amuse-bouches had hit the tables, big news was released from the connections of MINELLA TIMES, as they decided to retire their National hero.
A National legend retires! Thanks for everything, Minella Times! 💚💛

Partnered by Rachael Blackmore, he carried the sporting role model to a historic success in 2021 at Aintree, and although there were no fans there to experience the success, it was still an unbelievable and history-making moment for the sport.
Minella Times, the horse who helped @rachaelblackmor make Grand National history has been retired. Watch what she had to say about him today.

Following the news, Blackmore said: "He's such a special horse for me. He gave me the best day in racing I've had, there's a lot of hot competition for that but it was such an incredible day. You have so much gratitude for a horse when they give you something like he did."
Happy retirement, Minella Times!
Grand National weights
And from the main dinner itself, the Grand National weights were revealed yesterday ahead of the world famous race in less than two months.

Across the rest of the day, Gordon Elliott said that the Grand National has been the season-long aim for DELTA WORK (are the Cross Country backers worried?), Kim Bailey has been planning HAPPYGOLUCKY for the National for nearly two years, and Peter Fahey believes the National is the “ideal race” for THE BIG DOG.
Keep a watchful eye on how these horses are preparing ahead of Aintree.
Lorcan gets 18 days
And finally, we spoke about Lorcan Williams yesterday and it was confirmed yesterday that the young jock will get 18 days on the sideline after breaking the whip regulations on the weekend.
🚨 Breaking: Lorcan Williams has been given an 18 day ban for his winning ride on Makin’yourmindup
He will be ruled out of the Cheltenham Festival for breaching the new whip rules.
What's your opinion on this situation for jockeys moving forwards? 😳

As expected, Racing Twitter was a serious mess after this news.
So @williams_lorcan gets 18 days for a brilliant ride. No one say he broke the rules. The rules are insane. Totally stunned jockeys, trainers and owners are just taking this. One day they will all regret this lack of action and being dictated to by @BHAHorseracing. 🏇🙏🙏🙏

@KJP1310 Let’s stuff the rules, let horses run around fences instead of jumping them as well! Let jockeys hit them 30 times in a race too! What are rules aye

Look, as much as the rules maybe aren’t right and are non-understandable, as things stand, they are in place, so if someone breaks the rules, there will be consequences durrr.

Bumper preview
Doncaster
Doncaster is a big galloping track and will make a suitable test for the fave INOUI MACHIN who was seen staying on strongly when green first time out.
Similar can be said for BEEP BEEP BURROW who passed rivals to finish 5th.
I don't think the others have a chance and expect these two to fight it out on their own for the W.
Today's best stats
The only real qualifier today is the well-handicapped THE WREKIN 17.22 for Henry Daly. Tom O'Brien in the plate who lands 1 in 3 for the yard at this track and Henry targets these races. The others have a bit to find with this horse.
Risk On
Blogger has just posted the NAP. FUCK.
I've had a few quid on OAK CREEK @ 5/4 in the 3m maiden hurdle at Ludlow. Two solid runs in P2P's (2nd to Colonel Harry 130 horse) held up on debut in a hot race, given a lot to do, hands & heals, finished strong over 2m5f, up in trip to 3m, should come on for that and go close.
