For anyone still wanting to jump in on BGP Capital, the next few days is your last opportunity to do so. Doors close Wednesday.
There was some great action during the week, so let’s dive in.
Headline Roundup

He’s been a horse many have followed for years and perhaps is the reason many started to follow the sport. His page is littered with the biggest race wins, even bagging the £1million bonus for the second year running when showing once again he is in a class of his own in the stayers' division with victory in the Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup at York.
An absolute legend of the game, both on track and off the track… if you know what I mean (something tells me he is going to quite enjoy his new job!).
Stradivarius, the horse of a lifetime! Enjoy our tribute to the great stayer who's been retired 🙌

BLACKBEARD sails to victory
Aidan O’Brien’s stronghold on the two-year-old colts division strengthened on Saturday as BLACKBEARD produced a world-class performance to win the Gr1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket.
Blackbeard, the progressive young No Nay Never colt, takes his game to the next level in the @JuddmonteFarms Middle Park Stakes @NewmarketRace
A magnificent seventh winner of the Group 1 for @Ballydoyle and @coolmorestud ✌️

Followed home by his stablemate THE ANTARCTIC, Ryan Moore’s mount moved to the front two furlongs from home, passing Richard Hannon’s PERSIAN FORCE (the eventual third), and kicked clear to win by a comfortable two lengths.
As usual, he wasn’t taking anything seriously in the pre’s:
😂 "This is Blackbeard doing what Blackbeard does"

Aidan O’Brien told Racing TV yesterday that the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf could be the next time we see him, a race he is currently 3/1 for.
.@coolmorestud and @Ballydoyle seem increasingly likely to send Blackbeard to the @BreedersCup@keeneland following his uplifting success in the Middle Park @NewmarketRace on Saturday.

ZOUSTAR gets his maiden Gr1
Ralph Beckett’s LEZOO secured her first Group 1 success in the Cheveley Park Stakes on Saturday, handing her sire, ZOUSTAR, his first Gr1 victory in Europe.
Oh, my. That was superb! ⭐️

Out of ROGER SEZ, a Gr3 Firth Of Clyde winner for Tim Easterby in 2011, the two-year-old filly effortlessly glided past Aidan O’Brien’s MEDITATE, the 13/8 favourite, to win in a time that was 0.18s faster than the Middle Park Stakes 35 minutes later – the Cheveley Park was run at a faster and more even pace in the first few furlongs, however.
Unfortunately for optimists, trainer Beckett was negative towards LEZOO staying a mile for the Guineas in the future,.
Curragh delight for O’Callaghan
In the highlight race of Saturday at the Curragh, Michael O’Callaghan’s CRYPTO FORCE returned to the winner’s enclosure by landing the Gr2 Beresford Stakes over a mile.

The £900,000 purchase from Goffs London finished a fair seventh in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot behind HOLLOWAY BOY two starts ago. His ped suggested the step up to a mile would suit and it did, he bolted up.
Trainer O’Callaghan has Classic aspirations for next year, potentially up in trip following his work at home.
.@MDOCallaghan has worthy Classic ambitions for valuable Time Test colt Crypto Force, who proved his worth @curraghrace for @amoracingltd and @ctkjockey

Appleby and Buick win abroad… again
Despite the disappointing run of FLYING HONOURS, the 2/7 favourite who finished third of four in the Gr2 Royal Lodge Stakes on Saturday, Godolphin, Charlie Appleby, and William Buick teamed up once again to land the Gr1 60th Preis von Europa with REBEL’S ROMANCE.

Yesterday’s victory at Cologne made it four races and two Group 1s in a row for Appleby’s four-year-old gelding by DUBAWI – he beat German Derby hero SAMMARCO, which is good form.

Wayne Lordan produced a perfect ride on WATERVILLE in Sunday’s Irish Cesarewitch, causing Racing Twitter to lose their minds.

Betting without ARREST here. He’s a nice 2yo and will 100% make a better 3yo but he’s a nice horse and can see him finishing behind ARREST (and hopefully in front of the others). Half bet 9/2 w/o fave.
Note: Haslems in the 19.30 was a gamble with the right people on but price has gone.
