Equinties - Ghiani to join the stupid step?

We’ve taken delivery on some fucking good trades this month already and the deal pipeline for the next few weeks is looking very, very bullish.
Not only that, but I’ve also been working my arse off on BGP Capital -the investment syndicate. For me to be able to complete the cashflow forecast, I need the people who want in, to register their interest so I can see what we’re working with. In the coming days, I will launch a ‘register your interest’ page which will allow you to read a brief on the business model and the three pricing tiers. This page won’t be up forever, perhaps one week, and once it's down, if you haven’t registered your interest – well, you’re not in.
Now, let's dive in.

PM’s ex-worker joins the BHA
In a hilarious move, Greg Swift, the former head of news and press secretary to the Foreign Secretary in the British Government, has joined the BHA to become the new director of communications and corporate affairs.
Why is this fucking lols? Well, the BHA obviously feel they need government level ‘spin’ to address how fucking calamitous they are.

Interestingly, the Foreign Secretary was a position held by Liz Truss, our new Prime Minister (I’m still getting over this), so with Swift’s healthy connections to the now PM, this move made by the Chief Executive of the BHA, Julie Harrington, could actually be a clever play in relation to the delayed gambling review.
Delayed gambling review:
The government's gambling review white paper may not be published until October at the earliest after being delayed again by the recent political upheaval in Westminster

Swift describes himself as a “keen horse racing fan”, so with his ear to the ground about the impending review, his government knowledge may just give the BHA the heads up for whenever this key document is published.

Ghiani in trouble?
Now, look – I have a lot of jockey friends and they all, well most of them, deliver a damn good show day in day out (plus, I rely on them to fund my lifestyle) but honestly? Most of them are fucking bungalows… there’s really not much up top.
Their job is to do two simple things – work hard/ride well and don’t do drugs. It’s so easy, yet time and time again, the big names such as Frankie, Oisin, Shoemark, and Benoit all join the list of positive drug tests. It’s ridiculously imbecile.
I’m not against drugs, I’m just against stupid.
Rumours, as reported by the Sun, as are that Ghiani is about to join the long list of names failing drug tests.
Yesterday, the top jockey was stood down minutes before his first ride at Brighton after allegedly failing a drugs test, according to Jack Keene in The Sun. The Italian was booked to ride two horses yesterday, but it is believed that a positive result came back to the BHA just before the 1:35 from a drug test that he conducted last week – he is allegedly now under investigation.
The stewards’ report stated: “BHA consider Ghiani unfit [to ride]” – Luke Catton took over the ride on MISTER X for Stuart Williams, a horse who won the six-furlong handicap comfortably at 5/1, and Callum Shepherd got the leg up on SHAMSHON for the same connections later on.

This is a worrying case for the 23-year-old if true as the entry level for drug-related bans is two months but there is a possibility that it can rise to half a year – a ‘B’ sample will now have to be conducted by Ghiani if the BHA proceed onto the next step.
Article in The Sun:
If you want to do drugs, don’t be a professional athlete. Simple.
Are we sure this is the St Leger?
Following Monday’s confirmation stage, eleven are set to go to post for the Gr1 St Leger on Saturday in what looks to be one of the worst fields the Doncaster Classic has seen for a long time. And I’ve got to go on fucking TalkSport to talk about it!
New London heads 11 confirmations for Saturday's St Leger. Haskoy and El Habeeb both supplemented for the Doncaster Classic

12 months ago, a Derby third recorded an RPR of 122 to beat a Derby second in a cracking renewal of the 1m6f contest – fast forward to 2022, not a single Group 1 winner appears in the line-up and a Group 3 successor is the odds-on favourite. WTF.
NEW LONDON, although winning well lto, didn’t exactly blow the field apart in the Gordon Stakes when beating a bunch of high 100-rated horses, yet because the depth of the field is poor, this Godolphin colt by DUBAWI is set to go off the same price that HURRICANE LANE did last year – just remember how good last year’s three-year-olds were compared to this year’s crop, the difference is insane.

Two horses were supplemented for the event, HASKOY for the same connections as WESTOVER, and EL HABEEB, a horse who was also supplemented for the Derby – the supplementation fee is £50,000 which begs the question, just how much spare change does Mohamed Khalid Abdulrahim (EL HABEEB’s owner) have to chuck around on supplementing his horse for races that are completely out of his depth?
You have to rate the mentality though.
Risk on
14.30 HIGH HONOUR
Way too green on debut and looked a bit of a boat but apparently, he’s alright and should win today. BGP 1 took a half bet at 2’s, 6/4 available now.
17.25 HATS OFF TO LARRY
Still well-handicapped. Ran too keen lto in what was basically a bumper. Should go close with a light weight. Half bet ew at 11/2
17.55 BON RETOUR
Big gamble lto, should be leverage for any bet.
18.25 ONWARD ROUTE
We’ve followed this horse for all of his career. He should be better over fences. Full bet at 5/4.
ONWARD ROUTE levered with BON RETOUR pays just under 3’s.
