Suns out, strong bets about… feels like a feel good Friday. Unless you live in Bradford.
Let’s dive in.
HEADLINE ROUNDUP
CHAMPIONS: FULL GALLOP
We don’t usually do promotions in this newsletter as we try to cover the news that is most relevant to the punter, but this is something we should cover.
Champions: Full Gallop, a six-part docuseries on the latest National Hunt season, airs its first episode on ITV tonight, and this series has an aura of ‘make or break’ for horse racing.

Everyone with any prominence is mucking in to help promote it. ITV, Sporting Life, Racing TV, Racing Post, and more are all advertising it in order to help its reach to a wider audience.
Why? Well, in all the doom and gloom that surrounds horse racing most days, this really feels like a tangible event which will reveal only promote our sport to the wider society.
If viewing numbers are down, we can feel a bit worried, but if they are good, we have hope.
It’s not as black and white as that, but it will give us a good idea on the situation.
A brilliant morning…on @thismorning 📺

What is interesting about this new show is the extensive work they did over a number of years.
The 14-time champion trainer, Paul Nicholls, was instrumental in the series beginning as he allowed the production company South Shore to film at his yard as a pilot to convince ITV.
Hopefully, this series does something good for racing. If it achieves even half of what Drive To Survive did for F1, it’ll certainly be doing something correct.
CLIPPER FALLOUT
All has not been well with in the Clipper Logistics base camp for a while, though things took a turn for the worse yesterday. You know who Clipper are…all grey silks… and they love a touch.
Why? Well, self-made man Steve Parkin and his racing and bloodstock adviser Joe Foley have filed legal proceedings against each other in the High Court in Ireland.
Their partnership, which had spanned 20 years before their abrupt ending in March, came to an end because Parkin moved Space Traveller and Asymmetric (two stallions) from Ballyhane Stud to Starfield Stud.

The nature of the legal proceedings is not yet clear, but for this to be happening at a big operation, one would have to keep an eye on how this plays out.
MOORE DECISIONS
When looking at the Irish Oaks at the initial entry stage, one would be forgiven for thinking that PORT FAIRY would be Aidan O’Brien’s number one.
After all, she was so good at Ascot and she really impressed all of Coolmore.
It's Ryan Moore and Aidan O'Brien again!

However, the jockey bookings reveal a different picture as Ryan Moore is booked for CONTENT, a horse who was third to BLUESTOCKING and EMILY UPJOHN in the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes.
Could this be a mistake from the main man?
Admittedly, Coolmore mainly decide who Moore rides and it’s not a case of Moore having a free pick of the bunch. However, although CONTENT has that smart bit of form, she was inconsistent up until then and would need back that up.
As for PORT FAIRY, she was solid at Chester and then showed a great attitude to win at Ascot. She was spoken about in high regard by Aidan O’Brien post-race, so why is Moore ditching her?
It’s certainly not obvious on the surface, though Saturday will reveal all.
RISK ON
15.00 GLAMOUR SHOW
This girl has sprouted wings recently and with the bit of work she did recently with older horses, she is expected to win today. 3/1 is a strong win bet.
16.10 TWO SHOES
Very eye-catching debut. She could be anything and worth a small poke ew at 14/1.
NORMAN’S BET
Norm’s bet is an ante-post bet on 14.00 THE WIZARD OF EYE next Saturday in the Moet & Chandon International handicap. His double is below, he is also on the THE WIZARD OF EYE ew single.
