Let’s dive in.
HEADLINE ROUNDUP
LIVIN’ IN AMERICA
Flat jockey Ben Curtis posted this statement yesterday and when you read it, you begin to understand exactly why he has come to the (easy) decision he has.
Whether he’s on 10 or 20% out there, $1.5milli is A LOT of dough to make in 4 months. He’d have pocketed at least 150bags for himself… 150 bags in 4 months. That’s square mile money.
Go earn that bread, Ben.
BEST STRAIGHT TO THE GUINEAS
Back in February, Richard Hannon spoke to Matt Chapman and discussed the idea about running potentially the best horse he’s ever trained, ROSALLION, in the Greenham before the Guineas.
Rosallion - potentially the best that @rhannonracing has trained?
@MCYeeehaaa gets the answers on the Hannon star ahead of a Guineas bid later this year...

Fast-forward a month and Hannon is still in this same mind, though with the surrounding rain at the moment, it looks more and more likely that he’ll head straight to the Guineas if the ground remains soft.
The Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere winner was beaten once as a juvenile when third in the Group 2 Champagne Stakes on soft ground, so it seems like better ground is his preference. By BLUE POINT out of a NEW APPROACH mare, this adds fuel to the fire that better ground is his gig.
ROSALLION is a current 7/1-shot for the Guineas in what looks a hot year for the opening Classic of the season with CITY OF TROY at the head of the market, and HENRY LONGFELLOW and NIGHT RAIDER at bigger prices.
JOHN DANCE
John Dance has ruined hundreds, if not thousands of lives. Under both civil and criminal investigation, the evidence against him is damning. He has a hole in his balance sheet the size of the Mariana Trench - and guess who’s money that was?
Most likely the hard earned savings of the every day person who’s money simply vanished into thin air. Those thousands of individuals who are owed money are having to sell their homes to recover from this (as highlighted on Nick Luck’s podcast), and it’s simply one of the most shocking cases of fraud the FCA has seen.
Lols that despite the overwhelming evidence stacked against him when this all came to light, there were some really cringey comments made by some who thought because he paid them £20 to make budget vid they had to sacrifice all dignity by ‘standing with John’.
Get out his arse, mate. Although that said, you might not be the only one in their soon. Porridge beckons.
John Dance has
put thousands of individuals’ financial stability in tatters.
created a hole in the balance sheet as deep as the Mariana Trench.
caused thousand of people to sell their homes.
I give you THE worst take on Racing X:

We trust the proceeds of the upcoming dispersal sale won’t even be a sniff of the carnage he has created.
LAUREN’S first foal is set to go under the hammer at the upcoming Tattersalls’ sale. The son of the 6x Gr1 winner is currently unraced, but called FIRST AMBITION. His mother, the filly that really captured John Dance’s interest in the sport should also go through an auction, along with every horse under his ownership.
The Guineas Breeze Up sale and Horse In Training sale will see 50 lots that are owned by Coverdale Stud or Titanium Racing Club pass through the open market. John Dance was arrested last year, in what was one of the largest frauds ever conducted. Over £40 million went missing and
As well as LAUREN’S INVINCIBLE SPIRIT colt. Another eye-catching lot is the NO NAY NEVER filly out of the GALILEO mare SNOWFLAKES. These horses have been blocked from running since September, they’ll be a lot of unhappy breeders that would have sold the progeny of their mare that John has bought and they are not getting the required updates to enhance the value of their mares and brothers or sisters of John Dance owned horses.
