Nothing else to say but keep fighting big lad, the whole of racing is behind you.

Let’s dive in.

HEADINE ROUND UP

MIGHTY MYRE

Look, we’ll be honest, the news was a bit sparse yesterday, so instead of throwing up a page filler, we’re going to be useful and highlight a nice winner from yesterday.

Of course, it’s easy to point at a four-legged animal in nice silks and go ‘hE’s nIcE’, but MYRETOWN deserves a bit of a mention because he looks like an unexposed improver.

Why? Well, a few of you will know that he was travelling nicely at Windsor two starts ago before taking a big fall when the race was hotting up.

Yes, HERAKLES WESTWOOD, the winner that day, has been beaten since, but he’s a chaser that Warren Greatrex thinks plenty of. The race also had DEAFENING SILENCE in, a nice one for the Skelton’s, so the Windsor race is probably worth more than people realise.

MYRETOWN pleasingly put his last time out fall behind him to lead from pillar to post, and Derek Fox wasn’t in a hurry after the last when allowing him to stretch clear.

Sporting the AHOY SENOR silks, he’s only raced in handicaps this season, so he could still be unexposed when the handicapper reassesses him next week, and he’s a chaser going the right way. He’s not a horse for Cheltenham, but he, alongside his stablemate PRIMOZ (who also won at Kelso yesterday), already have future targets.

Trainer Lucinda Russell said: "Myretown was much more grown up today and that opens options up for us. I'd like to keep Derek on him so we wouldn't go for the Kim Muir or anything and we'll look at a novice chase at Uttoxeter after Cheltenham.

"Primoz is one of the most talented horses we've dealt with and we've changed his training programme a bit. I don't know where he'll go next but he's a very talented horse if we can get some consistency into him."

PRIMOZ bolted up yesterday. It was all a bit easy for him. Connections have always rated him, and maybe he’s just starting to learn the game properly.
Russell has two nice horses here. Watch them going forward.
