Ngl, I didn't think I'd ever be writing about a race between our Prime Minister and a lettuce but hey, here we go.

Yesterday, Lizz Truss became the shortest-serving PM in history. She got outlasted by a wet lettuce.

Savage. But hey, the wet lettuce ain't gonna get paid >100k a year for the rest of it's life. Lizz is laughing all the way to Whole Foods.

Let's dive in.

Headline Roundup

Rachel misses Cheltenham

If you Google 'Rachael Blackmore fall' it's a tough read. She's hit the deck hard more times than Katie Price's knickers. I'm not sure if this is because Rachael has an overly aggressive riding style or whether it's just purely a coincidence, but she's decked once again, at home this time as she's gonna be out for the week.

Last season’s Cheltenham Gold Cup and Champion Hurdle-winning jockey, Rachael Blackmore will NOT be getting the ferry over to Prestbury Park this weekend as she is recovering from a knock she picked up on Wednesday.

Having been booked to ride SHE IS ELECTRIC and CHAMPAGNE GOLD today at the home of jumps racing, she will be forced to watch the action from the side-lines following a schooling fall earlier this week.

Darragh O’Keeffe gets the leg up on both of her Friday mounts.

Henry De Bromhead, the trainer she is retained to, said: “It's a pity for Rachael, but she just got a bang while schooling yesterday. She'll be out for a few days."

This horse helped put BGP on the map. FACT

Only day one hun's will remember MAIN FACT. He was one of our first ever tips.

And then he couldn't stop winning. We tipped him at the end of Jan and it was November by the time the handicapper had finally caught up with him. He'd improved 50lbs!

Good luck to the boy today, it's nice to see him back out in the Newbury last, the race he won in '20. He'll love the ground!

Cheltenham is back!

It’s finally acceptable to talk about Cheltenham now as the first meeting of the season gets underway – the field sizes have held up well despite the fast ground and it should hopefully be a good couple of days of action.

The horse I'm looking forward to seeing most is TWINJETS – the Milton Harris-trained five-year-old landed a big bumper bet for us last season and is having his first run over hurdles today – he has a tonne of potential, people inside and outside of the yard know this, and hopefully, he can make a winning start to his hurdling career.

Risk on

13.45 SEA OF ROSES One of the only few that will like the ground and is working nicely. Got this through this morning at 10's and sat on it for too long, now 5's annoyingly. Half bet ew.

13.45 SEA OF ROSES & 14.55 MALTESE FALCON Backed MF lto for a nice place but bumped into one. Will love the ground today and can't see him out of the places. SEA OF ROSES and MALTESE FALCON place bet double pays 4's. Full bet.
