Poor old Southwell is still underwater and Storm Babet continues to wreak havoc on the fixture list as Newbury has been called off tomorrow, it’s Saturday meeting up in the air and Uttoxeter are moving their meetings completely…to Ffos Las of all places. The irony.

Two nice jumps cards on today in Ludlow and Carlisle, let’s dive in.

Our sponsor UK MEDS are the only online pharma-distributor to have the fat loss jab OZEMPIC in stock ever since Elon Musk tweeted about it creating a shortage.

HEADLINE ROUND UP

BREEDERS CUP CONFIRMATIONS

There will be no singing from Ballydoyle in this year’s Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf as OPERA SINGER will miss the race.

The 2yo by JUSTIFY blew away her competitors in the Group 3 Newtownanner Stud Irish EBF Stakes in August before doing the same just over a month later in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac.

Having been well-fancied to run at the Breeders’ Cup next week, she will miss it due to the long season she has experienced, meaning CONTENT will be O’Brien’s main contender in the contest.

Alongside OPERA SINGER, KINROSS will also miss next week’s engagement in Santa Anita and will be targeted towards Hong Kong instead.

Furthermore, if KING OF STEEL does turn up to America next week, he has a “20%” chance of going for the Breeders’ Cup Classic and a “60%” chance of going for the Breeders’ Cup Turf according to Matt Chapman, a stat that Nick Luck was keen to understand Chapmans workings lol.

Continuing with the international racing theme, the Crisford’s have worldwide aims for some of their stable stars including ALGIERS, their Gr1 Dubai World Cup runner-up, who will be aimed for the Breeders’ Cup Mile Dirt.

Despite his form over 10 furlongs, connections feel he will be better suited to the one-mile test of Santa Anita better than a stab at the Breeders’ Cup Classic over further.

CARLA’S WAY is also an intended runner at Santa Anita for the Crisfords as she will go for the Gr1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf.

BREEDING IMPACT

Arc champ and recently retired ACE IMPACT has been given a record-breaking stud fee for a French-based first-season stallion as he will stand for €40,000 next year.

The CRACKSMAN three-year-old will stand at Haras de Beaumont and received a big form boost last weekend thanks to the impressive performance of BIG ROCK, a horse ACE IMPACT beat by three lengths in the Group 1 Prix Du Jockey Club, in the QEII on Champions Day.

That being said, he isn’t bred in the purple horse like some big stallions demanding these prices are and €40,000 does seem steep for his first year.

Time will tell. More:

TODAYS BEST STATS

THE CALTONIAN 17.30 features in this section again. Trainer has made another long journey to get this lad back out again quickly. Trainer 3 from 3 in these types of races this year at Wolves.

RISK ON

Word for Pauling’s in the 15.55 but quite short now at 3’s given it’s a leap of faith. The single without any question marks is:

13.40 VINCENZO

Yard are absolutely flying, Thomas is 3 from 3 recently. Bred nicely, he was green as grass in April and that experience will have been needed. Should be better than this lot today. 7/2.
