Eve’s yard has always been good to us.
We’ve landed gambles on loads of her horses since we founded Equinties on twitter, you’ll remember names from previous years such as CHIPOTLE, BUCCA BAY, WHISTLE AND FLUTE and LADY ELYSIA to name just a few.
This season, these rockets join the hall of famous gambles:
JUNIPER BERRIES…
A lot of texts flying round for Watson’s in the 17.55 but it’s tiny, Labrador size. That might not matter over 5f but Eve’s is good so taking on.
JUNIPER BERRIES smokes everything at home. Eve not firing yet and as 2yo’s they don’t know what they’re up against so no max but… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

and of course, old faithful JUMBY. Wasn’t a gamble but a nice win none the less.
Our old friend JUMBY wins for Eve and the newsletter at 5/2.
Another brilliant Saturday.

Yesterdays disappointment in DAYAMAR BAY was a little shock to the system but it’s important to maintain some perspective. Eve’s probably our most profitable trainer. A big W from that yard will come soon.
On to yesterdays last bet…ROARING LEGEND did us a big favour yesterday, more for mindset than in terms of yield.
Newsletter winner as ROARING LEGEND absolutely hoses in at 2’s.

We knew who he had been working with at home and what mark he should be, so was well in yesterday. The ground caught him out when we bet him at Redcar, he needs quick but it did hurt.
We left him at Ripon as we felt the run came too soon, (bad race planning from the yard) but conditions were perfect yesterday and we had our chance for big redemption.
That felt good.
Now, let’s dive in.
BGP FANTASY LEAGUE COMP
We’ve been hyping up the TOTE’s new Fantasy game since we found it. Why? Simply because there is nothing else out there now which can help people cage the betting chimp while maintaining an emotional interest in the big races of the day.
People bet way too much and the Fantasy allows you to get limited risk on, fill your brain up with the dope it craves and still be in the mix for a big win.
It’s bad racing today - perfect time to play it. If we hit 250 stables, top of the BGP private league get’s a new ‘GM’ cap.
HEADLINE ROUND UP
Viva Las Vega’s
Feels weird to be talking about National Hunt this time of year when the weather is hot and everyone’s hay fever is out of control (I get my jab in a few days) but we need to talk about this.

And no, not for the way she win so effortlessly, but because Racing Twitter went into it’s usual chaotic frenzy with idiot accounts shouting Cheltenham from the rooftops.
IT’S JUNE.
So, what about the filly… well her name is AURORA VEGA, a full sister to FACILE VEGA, and, of course, making her the daughter of QUEVEGA.
She didn’t beat much at all and post-race comments from Patrick Mullins admitted she raced a bit lazily. She did what she needed to do, not coming off the bridle up along the stiff Sligo finish.
Chimps and degens alike will already be on her for the mares novices hurdle.
LMAO.
Grey hair all round
Silver fox Paul Nicholls parted ways with a cool £400k at the Arkle sale yesterday as he bought three horses.
The 14 time champion trainer has had brilliant success with greys in the past - ALFEROF, NEPTUNE COLLONGES and POLITOLOGUE…and now has a new grey recruit to go to war with in 160k ZAMEK (by BEAUMEC DE HOUELLE (MARTALINE)).
Zamek, Oaks Farm Stables' son of Beaumec De Houelle, is a new top lot of the Goffs Arkle Sale when making €160,000 to Tom Malone and Paul Nicholls. The gelding is out of the unraced Sinndar mare Zanatiya, making him a half-brother to Listed-winning hurdler Zarisk.

Never heard of the sire? BEAUMEC DE HOUELLE is a G1 winning hurdler in France and his first crop are set to run this year as 3yo’s.
Royal Ascot prep
Some of the stars for next week at Royal Ascot were on display at Newmarket yesterday and some of the British press got some updates ahead of their dates with destiny.

One of the most exciting runners this year is ASADNA, an ultra-impressive Sandown winner, who will contest the Coventry Stakes.
Post-work, George Boughey said: “He has a super attitude. I think we will watch him walk round the paddock ahead of the Coventry like he is here in the paddock. He'll go there with a good chance”
The way he was gambled post-debut, those with risk on would expect him to perhaps be a little more bullish than ‘good chance’. Maybe that’s because Boughey’s seen something else and now knows what a real big chance looks like.
SOPRANO is the filly seen working in the video alongside ASASDNA. Whispers are she puts him away easily and therefore see’s herself right at the top of the Albany market. So if you like ASADNA, you’ll love SOPRANO.

NEW FEATURE - YOUNG BLOOD
Notes on pedigree, attractive crosses and sales trends
14.50 Yarmouth
We found last years winner, SEA TSARINA in the stats section last year. Let’s see if we can do it again.
BERTHE MORISOT -is by KINGMAN so will relish the summer conditions. Her dam won over a mile and she has produced a couple of 2yo winners including a Japanese filly that was second in a Grade 2, she is also a half sister to Arlington Million winner DEBUSSY.
CROWNING is by OASIS DREAM she is a sister to the sire INNS OF COURT who won a Gr2 as a 2yo and was second in two Gr1s as a 3yo. Weirdly the dam has also produced a horse who who was competitive over 3m2f. Ran well on debut but the form is questionable.
NANNIE DEE is by NIGHT OF THUNDER. Very nice family background; 2nd dam is a full sister to WHITEWATER AFFAIR who in turn produced Champion 3yr old Colt VICTOIRE PISA who won the Dubai World Cup. Doesn’t scream 2yo pedigree but it is classy.
FULL REGALIA is by ULYSSES. Well bred as you would expect from Cheveley Park Stud, her dam has produced AUDIENCE (r107) and DARK LADY (r104). The latter won a Gr3 as a 2yo but she was bred sharper being by DARK ANGEL.
HARD ACT TO FOLLOW has a nice pedigree. By EXCEED AND EXCEL, she’s a half sister to ZAIN CLAUDETTE who trainer Ismail also has. She cost a fair bit but yard don’t typically have them ready first time out.
LITTLE HUG and DESERT VOICE are both by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT and homebred so difficult to find a lot of info. Watch in the betting, DESERT VOICE goes for Shaggas who won this race last year.
Verdict: Have a feeling that this could go to one of the newcomers like NANNI DEE who has a classy pedigree and the useful Harry Davies takes off 3lbs but she may want further. But the newcomers will have to beat the one with experience, CROWNING who is feared most as the full sister to INNS OF COURT.
TODAYS RACING
Today’s best stats
15.40 LIGHT N STRIKE goes for Lavelle who is 100% at this track in these types of races.
17.00 PORFIN goes for McEntee who has won the last two renewals of this race. Oisin booking bullish.
These stats do not constitute financial advice. Use to either play the Fantasy league or create a ‘chimp acca’ to allow you to practice good habits and play singles with conviction.
RISK ON
14.40 TRUTHFUL
This should be just a two horse race between SHAGPYLE and TRUTHFUL. The former, a half sister to PYLEDRIVER, looked good lto but she beat bad horses. Her action suggests she’d need more cut in the ground too. TRUTHFUL will love the ground and Shaggas likes this filly. He unleashed a nice SEA THE STARS filly this time last year in SEA TSARINA and this girl today is also by SEA THE STARS. Coincidence? I THINK NOT… (yes it is just a coincidence).
TRUTHFUL won first time out which is rare for Haggas horses so she must be good. Strong bet today at 13/8.
