Brilliant days punting yesterday with the strong double and single winning fairly easily...how good horses should win.

We've been on a bull run for a while now. Don't give it back.

The reason Denise Coates pays such a massive tax bill is because too many people can't keep their banks.

Place your bets, win or lose, leave it at that - stick to the prog and keep the betting chimp caged. I'm using the TOTE Fantasy game to keep the chimp cage locked. Why? Because for the price of a pint, I can watch 7 races and be in with a chance of winning big while having limited financial involvement and all the dopamine to go with it. No brainer and I'm all for it.

Now, let's dive in.

Headline roundup

Prize money dashed

Following a three-hour hearing from an independent appeals panel, DASHEL DRASHER’s demotion to third in the recent Stayers’ Hurdle was reversed yesterday.

Jeremy Scott’s 10-year-old was found to have caused severe interference to the warm favourite TEAHUPOO post-race by the raceday stewards, however, that decision has now been reversed, a call that Brian Acheson of Robcour has called “absolute rubbish”.

So, what happened here. To be honest, you can see why the decision was made in the first place.

He was edging to his left, jumped to his left, moved all the way across to the winner, SIRE DU BERLAIS, and then came back across to the right, all while impeding the Gordon Elliott’s six-year-old at every stage.

Davy Russell told the appeals panel: “The only option I have is to keep going left and take the punishment I'm being given. My route is being dictated by the horse on my outside, who is drifting to his left."

Tbh we couldn't care less about all this though, TEAHUPOO should have won.

Mahler Miss-ing the National

Cast your minds back to late March and we began to get very excited about a GAILLARD DU MESNIL vs MAHLER MISSION round two in the Irish Grand National.

Well, we’ve had to call that off as yesterday it was reported by Ash Symonds that the former would miss Fairyhouse due to not being 100% after Cheltenham.

The novice was a general 14/1 shot for the race prior to the news.

Entries and supplementations

Entries for the Epsom Derby and Oaks as well as Newbury’s Lockinge Stakes we’re released yesterday.

WHITE BIRCH, the shock 22/1 winner of Sunday’s Ballysax at Leopardstown, has been supplemented at a price of £9,000 for the Epsom Derby.

ROYAL SCOTSMAN and Godolphin’s FLYING HONOURS were also notable inclusions on the 1m4f Classic.

As for the Oaks, 65 have been entered and TAHIYRA was not one of them.

And for the Lockinge, one of Newbury’s highlights of the whole calendar year, Cox Plate winner ANAMOE, a horse who is seeking for a record-equaling seventh Group 1 victory of the season, has been entered for the event won last year by BAAEED.

It’ll be good to see him come over for the race, an event that has seen 30 horses entered.

15.50 COQUELICOT

Love this mare back over 2 miles in the slop. She posted some good bumper wins and should be head and shoulders above the field in today's conditions. She's 4's across most books so I'm suggesting a dirty ew to limit a loss if she doesn't turn up and only places... can't see her out of top 3 unless she's in season. Half bet.

15.00 TOTNES & 19.15 HE'S A MONSTER

Full bet double on these two. Balding's lot think TOTNES is nice and Watson's NO NAY NEVER colt should be much the better horse today. Full bet double at 5/2.
