HEADLINE ROUNDUP
🕒LOUNGHNANE BAN REDUCED
Billy Loughnane has received welcome news after his riding ban was reduced on appeal, allowing him a return to action sooner than expected.
The Boughey numero uno, who many (not us) laud as being one of the brightest talents in the weighing room, was originally handed a suspension following a confusing moment when there was clear miscommunication between a vet, Billy and the stewards. After a review by stewards and coming to the conclusion Billy didn’t hear the vet, the penalty was shortened—meaning Loughnane will miss fewer race days than first feared.
Question - if they felt it right to shorten the ban because Billy was unaware he had to dismount horse, why have the ban at all!?

1️⃣BURKES BEST BACK
Karl Burkes number 1 makes his return to the saddle today!
Clifford Lee makes his long-awaited return to racing after spending over five months on the sidelines following a horrendous and life-threatening accident.
Lee has been absent since October after a cross-country motorbike crash in Scotland left him with injuries not only endangering his career, but his life, including a broken C1 vertebra and an internal bleed. The severity of the incident was such that he was placed in a coma and required a tracheotomy to help him breathe. Horrible.
The Group 1-winning rider has since undergone an intensive rehabilitation process, spending months recovering and rebuilding strength after the accident left him in intensive care.
Clifford now triumphantly claims to be fitter than ever.
His timely return is a major boost for the Burke yard, where Lee has established himself as the clear number one rider, playing lead role in the stable’s rise to rise to the top in recent seasons.
There’ll be some big celebrations if he can get MARSHMAN up today.
