Today Warwick hosts the biggest clash of the season so far as Nicholls' MONMIRAL takes on Arkle favourite, JONBON, More by accident than design, Nicholls had no other choice than to lay MONIMIRAL upsides JONBON, a horse Paddy Power has already paid out for to win the Arkle, because the Cheltenham going was too quick last weekend.
You’re backing one, who is it?

The markets have moved heavily in favour of JONBON for both today and ante-post Cheltenham, which is bullish considering he's never jumped a fence in public. The money flow is being directed by the vibes from the Seven Barrows camp and the vibes are loud and strong.
Suppose we'll find out today.
Now, let's dive in.
Headline Roundup
To race or not to race, Nicky?
From bullish vibes to bearish vibes now as Nicky Henderson said he was “60/40” in favour of NOT running his stable star CONSTITUTION HILL in the Coral Hurdle at Ascot on Saturday.
❌ Nicky Henderson tells me Constitution Hill is 60/40 in favour of not running at Ascot on Saturday due to ground. Plenty of rain needed today and tomorrow.

Despite over 17mm of rain falling at the London track yesterday morning, the master of swerving battles...sorry, SEVEN BARROWS, who was at his own track, Newbury, for their Coral Gold Cup gallops morning, said “it’s very ground dependent” as to whether his Supreme Hurdle winner shows up this week.
🚨 @sevenbarrows on Constitution Hill at @Ascot this weekend - "It’s very ground dependant. The plan remains the same but if there’s any firm in the description then he won’t go." [1/2]

🗣️ @sevenbarrows - "If they [Epatante and Constitution Hill] have to take each other on then they’ll have to [in the Fighting Fifth Hurdle].
"I've spoken to Chris Stickels and I'll probably be annoying him every 15 minutes from now until Saturday!" [2/2]

Following this news, William Hill pushed the five-year-old gelding out to 11/10 from 2/5 for the 2m3f contest at Ascot - aside from this, Henderson was keen to share just how well Constitution Hill had summered with some bold remarks.
“The only problem I have is I’ve told Michael Buckley he needs to buy me a couple of pacemakers – I don’t gallop horses with him because it’s unfair on the other horses.”

Elsewhere, the gallops morning saw Henderson, Paul Nicholls, and Joe Tizzard display their talented horses that are set to appear soon - the Champ, AP McCoy, was also in attendance to ride a few!

No reversal for Ralph
HASKOY, Ralph Beckett’s three-year-old who was demoted from second to fourth in this year’s Grade 1 St Leger, had her appeal denied in a panel hearing yesterday.
An appeal against the demotion of Haskoy in this year's St Leger has been dismissed
An appeals panel ruled Haskoy's interference caused Giavellotto to lose second place, with Haskoy demoted to fourth

Supplemented into the race by connections, the Juddmonte filly passed the post in second place but race day stewards deemed that Beckett’s horse had prevented GIAVELLOTTO from achieving his best finish and demoted the daughter of GOLDEN HORN to fourth (I had to double check she was a GOLDEN HORN filly, shocked. GOLDEN HORNS are generally shit).
Following the trial, Beckett said: "Mr Charlton evidently put plenty of weight on the chain reaction that involved French Claim and also the tightening up at the half-furlong pole, which wasn't alluded to at the original inquiry. We all understand that appeals are new hearings - you win some you lose some.”

Brendan Morton of Pier House Stud said: “I was talking to the people at Darley about him and I thought he was the best horse in this sale here today. He's by a son of Dubawi–sire of New Bay (GB) and Night Of Thunder –so for me, those Ghaiyyaths were all very much to type.”
It’s good to see a first-season sire already in demand.

bin Suroor's birthday present to himself?
It's Saeed bin Suroor's birthday today, the crafty bugger is only 54. Second only to Sir Mark Prescott in the ranks of 'plot king', he has the one runner today at the home of stink, Southwell.
GLOBAL WALK hasn't been seen since his easy 4L win at Newcastle against arguably better opposition than who he opposes today.
He is 3 from 7 at the track and 50% with 3yo's...everything suggests he's going to be one and done tonight, watching his horse bolt up from the comfort of his mansion in Newmarket...perhaps with a few close friends round for dinner...will probably get a congratulatory call from big Sheikh Maktoum...will definitely get call from Tony Bloom with an account update after his big bet on the Asian markets. What a life.

Warwick bumper
A mixed bumper with lots of classic NH peds on display, but by the looks of it, noreal world beaters.
Fergal's is heading the market, just because it's Fergals. She's had a run so will be fitter but recorded a very uninspiring rpr given the yard have them ready fto.
Honeyball has the second fave, MOLLIE BROWN, who owns a hardy pedigree and will enjoy today's stamina test.
King's ON SE CALME is next. She is from a flat family but already won a point this year proving stamina no issue.
The gamble of the race is POLLYONESOCK (I imagine she has one white sock?) whos been squeezed into 9's from 40's. She's got one of the better pedigree's and I don't know why she opened so big tbh... maybe because the yard doesn't win many bumpers.
Our view: Despite Honeyball's form, I do like his in this race. 3 from his last 8 bumpers runners have finished in the money so at 5's , she could be an ew to nothing. It's a mares race though, so anything can happen and this isn't a strong view.
Risk on
Just going to enjoy the 14.45 today!
