Gm Equinauts
Intern here again, and we have an apology to make.
Yesterday, we said that ‘the boys’ were checking conformations of the yearlings at the Book 3 sale - this was false, this job was expertly done by the Queen Of Conformation and her sidekick, our expert eyes on the horses.
Boss man BGP had one job to do with the opening paragraph and he managed to mess it up, so he’s sacked for this week while he sticks his head into the Tatts catalogue.
Anyway, the Intern (me) is at the sales today, yes I’ve been allowed out of my cage, so we have to keep today’s edition of the newsletter short - apologies.

Soumillion covers the costs
Christophe Soumillion honoured his word yesterday and reimbursed connections of CAPTAIN WEIRZBA, the horse he pushed Rossa Ryan off in France earlier this month, the travel fees to get the horse over to France.
Very nasty. Rossa Ryan took a horrible fall mid-race after contact with Christophe Soumillon...

The track’s parent company, Chester Race Company, reported a £288,498 loss for various things to do with Thomas, with his £323,352 claim in expenses a forefront reason.
Thomas was appointed to his role in 2000 but was sacked in 2021 for “unsavoury and unwelcome” events.
Nothing much behind this story, is just a big L for Chester.
Bradley has a pop
Nick Bradley took to Twitter yesterday to voice his annoyance at some of the sales prices at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
Book 2 sale. 30p horses viewed 50 twice. Bid on plenty, not bought one. Good job I've some bargains secured already for @NBradleyRacing !

From our personal experience of Book 2 and especially yesterday’s first day of Book 3, we have felt this as well at the lower ends, missing out on a few nice fillies who went for a fair whack.
The nice horses are still walking through though and there will defo be a few steals today.
Risk On
14.50 PUNCHBOWL FLYER
We took serious yield from this lad last year, and he’s been waiting alllll season for the slop. He gets it today off a great mark for a yard flying.
JJ’s in Uttox bumper should be lev.
PUNCHBOWL FLYER to place top 4 and JJ lev pays about 2-3/1 and straight win double pays… can’t remember but a lot. Playing both medium.
Irish bet to come, waiting on call.
