It’s happening!
Well, it was and we were about to press but Mullins has pussied out and pulled LOSSIEMOUTH
We knew he would. We wonder if he’ll get the same shit the way Hendo would had he done it!?
THE CLASH OF CHAMPIONS has become THE DAMP SQUIB!
Good luck with your plays today, let’s dive in.
HEADLINE ROUNDUP
OVER THE HILL?
Well, this isn’t the news we wanted to write but is perhaps what we expected to write.
CONSTITUTION HILL will not be taking up his engagement in next Saturday’s Fighting Fifth.
Nicky Henderson revealed the news on X yesterday that the Champion Hurdle winner was lame after Newbury, and still hasn’t worked out what is wrong.
It’s important to keep everyone up to date so here is some news on Constitution Hill.

CONSTITUTION HILL is a champion, and so after seeing that bit of work at Newbury, we were conscious as not to disrespect him by keeping our thoughts to ourselves and withhold from describing him as looking nothing more that a tired and clapped out cart horse.
Okay, that might be a bit to harsh as we are talking about work between a champ and rising star SIR GINO, but you have to remember the horse he was!
No one wants to see a champ beat up like that, even if it is only a bit of sparring with a training partner.
Like every one else, we wanted to believe CONSTITUTION HILL was fine, but we trust our eyes and the following statement from Hendo confirms what we saw.
Henderson has taken his stable star to two public gallops now and he has underperformed twice in a row and has not been seen on a race track since.
Something is wrong with him.
He won’t be going going to Newcastle on Saturday and yet with so many question marks around his wellbeing, punters are still trying to back him for later dates!
WTAF!?
So the facts, well, not facts, but Hendo’s thoughts on next weekend, Henderson said: "Iberico Lord goes to Kempton. I'm not sure about Sir Gino, it's not the idea [to go to Newcastle]. He was there as a back-up, but I don't know. I can't say he won't, but I certainly won't say he will. It's not as simple as everyone thinks."
People might think this is not being forthright with the public but Hendo perhaps really didn’t anticipate having to shift his whole plans around a bloody racecourse gallop. SIR GINO was supposed to be going chasing and they would have made a plan for that.
But, we don’t care for trying to guess routes, we like to look at races on the day and the real question here revolves around one horse, the champ…or the Freak as we like to call him.
Why, when he’s been called upon to race over the last 10 months, has he been unfit to do so?
Is he just an unwell horse?
And if so, should he be retired to simply live a happy life instead of connections trying to flog something that can’t do it?
It’s a sad situation for Seven Barrows who so desperately want their champ back.
